New Media Intern at Warner Bros. Records

As a New Media Intern at Warner Bros. Records, I was able to gain incredible experience within the music industry. Working closely with artist's digital assets, I received a hands-on perspective of what it takes to effectively market on the Internet. Through my time at Warner, I was able to gain extensive knowledge of social media and other digital mediums that have great affects on artist image and the sales of music.

Since Terrorbird is a boutique music marketing company that dabbles in a number of activies such as social media marketing, non-commercial radio promotion and more, I was able to get a firm understanding of a wide range of music industry skills. I was involved in a variety of digital marketing and radio promotion campaigns, covering everything from conducting field research through social media to writing promotional blurbs and summaries.

As a marketing intern at RED Distribution, I was able to see a unique side of the music industry. As a leading independent music distributor, I was able to gain knowledge with marketing to record stores and other music outlets. I also gained knowledge in digital marketing through my work with 'Stach Media, the in-house marketing department of RED. This consisted of reading website and campaign analytics and proposing alternative plans.

I helped to craft and manage a number of promotional campaigns for past, present, and future releases. I also played a role in the overall creative vision of the label, ranging from artist image to the final music product.

Through my work as the Live Events Editor at PopMatters, I gained experience with managing affairs between writers, photographers and event coordinators. I was also responsible for editing and formatting content on the Notes From The Road blog, a section of the site dedicated to live events.

Eidos offered a very hands on experience, allowing me to gain skills in a number of areas. As the company was a strong proponent of social awareness, I worked on a number of educational campaigns that dealt with social outreach and more. I helped to design several multi-million dollar business and marketing plans, which were eventually brought to clients in Australia and around the world. I gained substantial knowledge of the Australian business climate as well.

Social Media & Marketing Coordinator at Frontier Communications

As the Social Media & Marketing Coordinator for Frontier Communications, I have been responsible for helping to create, launch, and maintain a full social media strategy for a major national telecommunications company. The current strategy spans across Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other outlets, and I have been personally responsible for creating creative campaigns, tracking and analyzing in-depth analytics, and creating and presenting a number of high-level presentations. Through work with the corporate social media team, we have overseen the development of six regional social media teams, as well as a customer support team. Along with Frontier Communications, we have also created a full strategy for TumTiki, Frontier's emerging online video service.

Potholes In My Blog was founded in January of 2009, quickly becoming a leading website in music discovery. With over 20 writers and contributors, Potholes has gone on to receive numerous awards, including About.com's "People's Choice Award for Best Hip-Hop Blog" and the Providence Pheonix's "Best Link to the Underground" award. With a stress on quality, original content, Potholes In My Blog stands out as a unique website spanning across a wide range of music genres. In mid-2011, Potholes became a record label as well, with the founding of Potholes Music.
